steelChallenge is a game-based blended learning programme recognised by the global steel community as the pre-eminent competition to engage students and industry professionals to showcase their ability to make steel with the best quality at the lowest cost.

Registration & certificates
- Access to the Electric Arc Furnace and Secondary Steelmaking courses.
- Online learning, 3D interactive models, and simulators.
- Course completion certificates awarded upon successful completion of each course.
- A certificate of participation awarded upon recording at least one successful simulation run during steelChallenge-20.
Competition format
- Regional Championship — online at 12:00 UTC on 25 November 2025 (24 hours). Competitors must successfully complete at least one combined simulation of Electric Arc Furnace + Secondary Steelmaking to produce the specified steel grade.
- World Championship Finals — April 2026 (date and venue to be announced on the competition page).

Receive a digital certificate signed by steeluniversity and worldsteel directors with the institution’s logo to verify your achievement.
